Bringing Together Industry Professionals to Talk About the Future of IT Operations and Incident Management

Mark your calendar for a day of networking with your peers about the challenges facing IT Operations and how to solve them.

At our non-summit Summit you’ll sit back and relax in a leather sofa or over-stuffed chair while discussing Incident Management, Reporting, Staffing, and How to Communicate Value to the CXO. Be prepared to offer advice and your own point of view. This is about sharing and discussing your ideas!

You won’t see any booths or sponsors. This event is specifically designed for you - to make new connections and walk away inspired with new ideas.  To cap off a great day of peer-to-peer workshops, special guest BlackRock3 will share their vision on the Future of Incident Management.

The Summit will take place at The Bungalow, located at The Fairmont in Santa Monica, CA.  If you’ve ever been there then you know that we’re not kidding when we say space is limited! Register your interest now and we’ll get back in touch with you to confirm your attendance. (Because of the limited capacity for this event, we ask that only one person from each company attend.)

Keynote Speakers –

Ryan Taylor, Director of Product Operations at Hulu

Jason Walker, Senior Director of Global Operations and GNOC at Blizzard

FAQ

Below are some common questions with answers.  If you have a question that is not listed here, please email us at [email protected].

Q: What topics will be covered at this Summit?
A: The following topics will be covered:
  • Four teams, one mandate: Incident Management. So what can ITOps, NOC, SRE, and DevOps teach each other?
  • How do you communicate the value that you create using ITOps reporting, KPIs, and metrics?
  • The do's and dont's of marrying change management, incident management, and problem management.
  • Best practices for hiring and retaining operations talent.
Q: Is this event open to the public?
A: No.  This event is by invitation only.  You may request an invite by emailing us at [email protected]

Q. I never got a Google Calendar invite after my registration was confirmed?
A. Please allow up to 3 business days before you will receive your Calendar invite.  If you still haven't received it after that time, please email [email protected] and let us know.

Q: I'm registered and I'd like a colleague to come, can they register?
A: At this time we are only allowing one person from each invited company to attend.  This is due to our limited space and the desire for as many diverse opinions that we can bring to the event, which would benefit all attendees.

Q: What does this event cost?
A: The event is free for all attendees.

Q: Do I need to pay for my own travel?
A: Yes, you must pay for your own travel to/from the event.

Q: What should I expect when I arrive?
A: When you arrive you will be greeted at our registration table and given a name badge with your own personal agenda.  Due to the intimate atmosphere and desire to keep our workshop size under 12 people, we will have several workshops taking place concurrently.  We have created a specific agenda for each of our guests that will ensure they interact with as many people as possible while ensuring that they participate in workshops that cover all four of our topics.

Q. Where is this event taking place?
A. This event is taking place at The Bungalow located on The Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalow property in Santa Monica, CA. When you arrive, drive into the entrance at 101 Wilshire Blvd.  There is another entrance on Ocean Blvd, but it is not as convenient to The Bungalow as the Wilshire entrance.

Q. Is there a dress code?
A. Please wear business casual for this event.  Shorts and flip flops, while common in Santa Monica in September, are discouraged.

Q. Can my company sponsor this event?
